Dewsbury Rangers Management Committee Minutes.

02 September 2007.

 

Present

T.Thomas, G.Denvers, G.Burton, G.Wilkinson, S.Ramsden, J.Rodgers, P.Ginnelly, C.Whiteley, D.Rickell, M.Peace, P.Bruce, C.Bugg, S.Wilson, L.Wood, S.Zammutu, J.Pygott, R.Dehaney, C.Heatley, B.Kerr

 

The Chairman welcomed everyone to the meeting and wished all luck for the new season; which kicks off on the 09/09/07, the club has about 400 playing members for the New Year.

 

It was raised about the coaches who hadn’t attended the A.G.M. felt they should be asked to explain their absence.

 

Graham Burton advised people of dates for coaching courses

 

The girls under sixteen’s needed someone to help with coaching.

 

Minutes of the last meeting 03/06 were confirmed as a correct record and thanks given to Mr. Bruce for doing them.

 

Treasurer

The committee were shown a copy of a handout given at the last Executive meeting, so that all coaches were up to speed on the finical state of the club.

 

A query from Tony Goodall (Manager Under7’s) on the money given to St John Fishers, it was explained that correct protocols had been followed at previous meeting to allow this money to be handed over.

 

 Secretary

The hand books and fixtures for the New Year were distributed and coaches made aware that the referee now got marks out of 100 instead of 10, anything lower than 40 had to be accompanied by a report.

There had been some changes to the books due to late withdrawals.

GB also asked if coaches could let him have their age groups registration forms.

People were reminded of the need for C.R.B checks for new coaches and helpers.

All the pitches at Wakefield Road had been booked for the sole use of Dewsbury Rangers J.F.C.

Subs were to start again this month payable in advance £12.50 for 8 months, and £90 for the year.

Old Boys discipline, awaiting a copy of the player’s code of conduct.

A request had been made to the council to mark a line parallel with the touchline, all spectators to be asked to stay behind this line.

 

Updated Constitution

Mr. Bruce explained the changes to those present and then it was put to the vote.

Proposed Richard Delaney - Seconded Carson Heatley

Carried unanimously.

Thanks given to Phil for all his hard work on this.

 

Christmas parties

The proposal was that the players got a Christmas party up to starting to play eleven aside then went to a vote.

Proposed Jez Rodgers, seconded Chris Bugg

This was carried on a majority vote with one vote against.

  

Girls Section

A brief update was given on the state of the teams and what coaches were required.

 

Mini Soccer

A query was raised on player registrations, and Mr. Burton explained how this worked.

 

Eleven a side.

Concern was raised about the state of the posts at Wakefield Road pitches.

It was explained about ringing results in to the appropriate people.

 

Open Age

The committee was brought up to speed as to what was happening with this newly formed branch of Dewsbury Rangers.

 

Development

Foundation application had gone in.

Plans for the clubhouse had been shown to people at the F.A and WRCFA

A further meeting had been arranged.

Graham Wilkinson informed people of the various grants available to be applied for.

 

Winter Training

Each age group was allocated a day, time and venue where their winter training would take place.

 

Any Other Business.

Once again there would be a shortage of referees and the coaches were encouraged, if possible, to use the players who had qualified as referees last year.

In an ideal world all referees should have a C.R.B.
