Dewsbury Rangers Management Committee Minutes of 10/12/06

Welcome by chair.
Chris Sugden and James Goodall were welcomed as new coaches and voted on to the committee.

The management Committee were brought up to date with what had taken place at the executive meetings. The coaches were told of the holiday closure dates for both
Inside and outside training.
· Presentation night to be 21/05/07.
· Gala on the 08/07/07.
Development.
Jarvis had agreed to a lock up at Earlsheaton, it was asked if it was possible to have some more keys to the gate.
The floodlights were up and working at Bywell, also the changing rooms and lock up were almost sorted, just need to look at how equipment was stored.
Three lads from the under 18 squad had finished their refereeing course and could be used to officiate at games up to under14 level.

Treasurers Report
Mrs. Denver explained the current finical situation of the club.
Secretary’s Report
The clubs Charter Standard was up for renewal it was decided to again go for club status. To achieve this the coaches were reminded that Graham needed an update on the qualifications that they held.
People were reminded to fill out the match report forms correctly.
It was pointed out that there was to be no smoking in the buildings and grounds at Fishers.
Shipley Gala was to be on the 16/06/07.
Fund Raising.
The autumn dance had raised £260. There was to be a race night with a pie and pea supper organised for March, this event was for adults only.
Another idea was to pick a date from a diary £1 a go, diary to be passed from age group to age group until all the dates are sold. To be drawn at presentation night first prize £50. Penalty shoot out on 27/04/07, kids to be encouraged to get as much sponsorship as possible, to raise funds for the club.
Next fund raising meeting 15/01/07.
Girls Section
Graham Wilkinson brought everyone up to speed on how the girl’s team were progressing.

Dave Rickell explained on how the various age groups were doing and made requests on their behalf for new jackets, kits and permission to store equipment in the new lock up at Earlsheaton.

Mr. Ginnelly asked each of the age groups (with coaches present) to do a brief synopsis of their season so far. There were one or two requests for kit and equipment.
Club Development
After the chairman’s introduction, it was felt that the coaches were up to date with what had occurred at the executive meetings
It was explained that with help plans were to be drawn up for dressing rooms and a club house at Wakefield Road playing Field,
It was agreed to look at Lottery funding, by incorporating some other sports within the confine of the clubhouse, examples Table Tennis or Snooker.
It was brought to the committee’s attention that planning permission had been granted for a play area, more information needed to be found out.

Web site - The minutes of any meeting to be condensed into bullet points to be included on the web page, Graham Burton to do.
Extended newsletter each month to go on web page.
Publicity
The committee were reminded of the need to keep the clubs name in the paper, by publishing match reports and results. C.Heatley told the rest of the committee of BBC’s Bradford web page.
Smoking
Everyone was reminded that all of Kirklees venues were now considered no smoking.
