Dewsbury under 11’s B team started well against Hartshead, Danny Byrne opening the scoring in the first 3 minutes, followed swiftly by Beckam Taylor’s goal awarded from a penalty. Despite strong tackles and clearances from Jake Senior and Alex Megahy in defence Hartshead fought back to leave the half time score at 2-2. In the second half Reagan Greenwood aided by Kishan Shah made a solid try at goal but it was Danny Byrne who again scored succeeding in putting Dewsbury ahead at 3-2. First time goalkeeper Daniel Teale kept Dewsbury’s hopes of a win alive making numerous saves but just before the fulltime whistle Hartshead equalised on a penalty kick, final score 3 all.
